Dear federations, athletes and coaches, We are excited to invite all teams to participate in the SERC Championship, which will take place on March 16, 2025, at the Coruche Municipal Swimming Pool, Portugal. The Simulated Emergency Response Competition (SERC) is a unique event in Lifesaving Sport, recreating emergency scenarios where teams must demonstrate their ability to assess, make decisions, and execute rescues effectively and in a coordinated manner. This is the competition that most closely resembles the real-life work of a lifeguard, testing not only technical skills but also teamwork and decision-making under pressure. Each team consists of 4 members, regardless of gender, who must work together to respond to the emergency in the best possible way. The SERC event has a maximum time limit of 2 minutes, during which the team must act quickly and efficiently.
